At the end of March, almost 2 years ago, in 2006, here I am nailing this line.

We went back on Thursday 2-21-08. Mike, from FlowLine Productions fame had the high definition camera there to capture the action. Mike, Luke, Derek, and myself looked at the line from below, earlier in the day. Things look much different from the bottom. It looked ready to go. After about 2 hours of waiting for the proper light, we went back, hoping to capture it on video. As I approached the line from the top, I was hoping it would look the same as it did the last time I stood on top of there………Unfortunately, it didn’t. The line in was a “no go”. If you look at the pic posted above, the second drop into the gully, this time, was beyond sketchy. Not filled in like two years go, and definitely not in the condition I was hoping for. As much as I focused the entire day on getting this line nailed and documented on HDvideo, it just wasn’t ready. I’ve had several friends get injured this past week, doing lines they probably should have backed off of…it hasn’t snowed a considerable amount in this area in several weeks now…..conditions aren’t right, as much as my heart, mind and goals want them to be. They say patience is a virtue. Not sure what that means, but I know there are still several snowy weeks left, and hopefully we get the precipitation required to get this line done. All I can do is be patient.
